My name is Liz Mensah. I am a qualified Systemic and Family Therapist and a Clinical Supervisor, as well as a trainer and group facilitator . I have extensive specialist experience in working with individuals, families, couples and groups with over her twenty-five (25) years in the National Health Service (NHS), Local Authority, Children Social Care setting and the voluntary sector in the United Kingdom and Africa. From my extensive experience, I have significant knowledge of safeguarding, mental health and psychological intervention which I combine with my therapeutic training and skills.
I work with individuals, couples, children and families on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period. I have successfully engaged individuals, couples, children, young people and families to improve their relationships, resolve mental health and child protection issues, through providing a calm, safe and confidential space to explore difficulties and challenges. Through collaboration, we work together to alleviate difficulties and distresses, develop resilience and reconnection to lost skills and strengths, which have been eroded when facing challenges and difficulties.
In working with parents, I develop their capacity and resilience through using a wide range of parenting models including multifamily group therapy and The Parenting Children Course.
